Overview

Recognizing the importance of rehabilitation, the client (a Australia based horticulture company) wanted to refine their hiring practices. D3 were asked to develop a program which would formalize their commitment to social responsibility, by adopting an employment model that offers meaningful work to disadvantaged individuals and ex-offenders.

The program identifies, trains and retains disadvantaged individuals and ex-offenders to become valued members of the company. Landscaping and construction are more than traditional sector jobs, they are about beautification, stability, and skilled-based professionalism. The client works with partner organizations to identify potential candidates from disadvantaged backgrounds. Then candidates are put through a hiring process to determine their capabilities and areas for re-education. Once complete, evaluates and measures the success of the program against detailed KPIs.
